The Vision
The goal was clear: to design a platform that educators and leaders would find not just useful, but indispensable. We wanted Lit Class to feel intuitive, engaging, and capable of sparking genuine learning moments with practical applications.
The Journey
Defining Challenges and Solutions
On Day 1, Monday, we set intentions, with a major theme being clarity. We identified the biggest challenges, which included differentiating Lit Class from existing platforms and designing content that felt fresh and relevant
Concept Review and Storyboarding
Tuesday saw the team reviewing solutions and voting on the concepts to prototype. We storyboarded the user journey, ensuring every step aligned with our vision of impactful learning that goes beyond traditional online education.
Rapid Prototyping & Production
Wednesday and Thursday were a whirlwind of activity as we created a high-fidelity prototype and a promotional video. From scripting to filming, we crafted content designed to captivate and inform.
User Testing and Insights
Friday brought user testing, where potential users validated our approach. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the platform’s unique course offerings and engaging tone. Key suggestions included a course sequence guide and user-friendly language.
The Impact
The sprint confirmed that Lit Class resonated with users who valued its practical benefits and engaging structure. Users described it as “fresh,” “relevant,” and “inspiring,” indicating that we had succeeded in creating a standout educational experience.
Reflection
This sprint reinforced the importance of user-centric design and agile collaboration. We learned that addressing user concerns—such as jargon-free content and clear course structures—would enhance the platform’s appeal. These insights guided recommendations for the next development phases, like accountability methods and ongoing content updates.
